Shukhov Tower in the Nizhniy Novgorod Region Suggested for UNESCO List

The well-known Shukhov Tower in the Nizhny Novgorod Region has been suggested to be included in the UNESCO list of world heritage sites.
      
      “Shukhov Tower is a unique engineering object. It is one of the two remaining in Russia high-rise multisection constructions by engineer Shukhov, - chairman of Legislative Assembly of the Nizhniy Novgorod Region Evgenie Lebedev noted. Our national heritage ought to be preserved for future generations”.
      
      Shukhov Tower in Dzerzhinsk Town of the Nizhniy Novgorod Region is a transmission line support construction by the engineer Vladimir Shukhov. It is the world’s only hyperboloid multisection support of a transmission line designed as a backup mesh cover. It is 128 meters high. Another well-known Shukhov Tower is located in Shabolovka Street in Moscow.
